We are currently seeking an Engineering / Facilities Manager for our Kilgore, Texas facility.
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Kilgore Plant Manager, the Engineering / Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and operation of the organization's maintenance, facilities, and engineering functions. This role ensures that all buildings, systems, and processes are operating efficiently and safely, supporting the organization's overall goals, and implementing continuous improvement practices to enhance facility operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:
Plan, organize, direct, and implement engineering activity to support the business objectives and operations.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies for the Kilgore facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Develop, implement, and manage a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
Plan and execute facility-related projects, including renovations, expansions, installations, and upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Prepare and manage the facilities maintenance and engineering budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-savings opportunities.
Lead, train, and mentor maintenance and engineering teams, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain both engineering and maintenance procedures and standard work.
Manage new product releases and localization efforts in conjunction with Camfil USA engineering team.
Manage material changes / introduction for the Kilgore facility.
Develop and improve design tools.
Identify and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized services, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
Ensure all facilities, maintenance, and engineering activities are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards, environmental guidelines, and building codes.
Implement and promote sustainability practices within facility operations, including energy conservation and waste reduction.
Respond to equipment failures and facility issues, leading troubleshooting efforts and coordinating repairs.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and protocols, ensuring staff are trained and facilities are equipped for emergencies.
Provide regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, engineering projects and processes, and budget status to senior management.
Work closely with operations and other departments to align both maintenance and engineering strategies with organizational goals.
In initial stages, work closely with new factory build project manager and contractors including assisting the new factory build project manager in completing building tasks.
Ability to travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications are a plus.
Proven experience (5+ years) in facilities management and engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Experience in understanding technical aspects of product design and product manufacturing.
Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD, document control systems, and ERP systems required.
Excellent experience in managing projects from planning through execution, with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and budgets, including use of project management software tools.
Proven drawing and modeling experience.
Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc), maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Proficient in facility and engineering management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position may require occasional travel and the ability to work in various environments, including outdoor settings and construction sites. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time: dust, heat, humidity, odors. The noise level in the work environment varies and hearing protection is required in some work areas.
