Duties include but not limited to:
Proficient in the management of acute and chronic conditions, both simple and complex.
Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients.
Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.
Assists with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
Facilitates the patient's transition within and between health care settings.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
Consultation with collaborating physician and other members of the healthcare team when indicated.
Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.
Will, at all times, adhere to their governing/licensing board "Code of Conduct".
Work and function in a culturally competent capacity with persons from a variety of ethnic and social backgrounds.
Possession of exemplary interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers.

Attendance and participation in meetings, mandatory in-services, educational programs, and other activities to stay informed and current.

Knowledgeable and supportive of policies, procedures, and guidelines associated with practice setting.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in primary care preferred.
