We are currently looking to hire a Project Manager to be based in North Florida for our client who are a leading international engineering group focused on clean energy generation. They have been in operation over 40 years and deal mainly with complex projects across a wide range of industries, the common denominator of these projects is sustainability and the reduction of our carbon footprint.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their project execution team. The Project Manager will primarily be supporting the Energy sector and report directly into the business unit Managing Director, providing regional support to their US clients and supply chain both pre and post-sale is key to the role. This will encapsulate the Renewable, Fossil Fuel, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture and Waste-2-X business sectors.
The Project Manager's Responsibilities Will Be:
Manage the scope of work and direct resources to complete projects in a timely manner and to budget
Manage and maintain Project and Installation schedule including escalation in advance of slippage
Review and interpret customer quality requirements provided in the form of specifications, drawings or international standards and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and in budget
Resolve project issues to ensure on time delivery and on cost completion
Expedite the manufacturing phase and produce progress reports for internal and external customers
Oversee the delivery of the equipment to site, inspecting equipment on arrival, identifying any shortages or transit damage prior to installation
Oversee the installation phase, both remotely and from time to time on-site, either by their own team or third-party installer
Undertake internal and external supplier audits
Liaise with clients for the duration of the project, reporting back to the UK, US and Global teams as appropriate
The Project Manager's Qualifications Will be:
at least an associate degree level or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality Control.
You will also need 5+ years related job experience, alongside project management experience within the Energy sector (preferably with Gas Turbines)
The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications with knowledge of fabricated systems / large manufactured products will also be key.
