We are seeking a transformational minded Senior Director of Procurement who will be responsible for the development and implementation of our short and long term of global sourcing strategies for both direct and indirect spend in our high mix, high volume environment. Incumbent will oversee relationships with key suppliers and ensure budgets, deadlines, delivery and costs are met. The incumbent will work to deliver annual material cost reductions through sourcing activities and working with engineering on design related or material projects. In addition, the incumbent will support New Product Development and Production launch working with Operations and Engineering NPD teams.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and implement global and regional sourcing strategies consistent with business priorities and objectives.
Develop global processes and standard for work for best practice sourcing and management of suppliers
Develop supplier quality engineering function to ensure quality expectations for incoming material are met
Build best in class processes for spend analytics, supplier contracts and agreements, supplier governance, and risk identification and mitigation
Manage all global material containment actions to deliver best cost regionalized material.
Lead the Commodity Managers in development and implementation of commodity strategies ensuring budgets, deadlines, delivery, and costs are met.
Participate and provide input on the selection and de-selection of suppliers as recommended by Commodity Managers and Buyers.
Direct the transition of material sourcing from one supplier to another with the plants and other stakeholders.
Coordinate Make vs. Buy decision process with Operations and Finance. Maintain a supply base to absorb outsourcing work.
Assure supply base is compliant with international trade and hazardous material handling requirements. Partner with Manager or Trade Compliance and Manager of Environmental Compliance.
Effectively Manage a globally dispersed team

Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business or engineering required. MBA or Masters' degree in logistics or supply chain strongly preferred and strong financial acumen.
Demonstrated leadership in strategic supply. Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in a global Supply Chain environment; at least five years managing a team
Experience in an industrial company with high volume, high mix preferred
Ability to drive transformation to a best-in-class procurement organization
Knowledge and experience of Tier 1 Automotive suppliers
Excellent negotiation skills
Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, KANBANs, and other Lean Enterprise tools a plus
Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
Fluent in English required. Spanish or Chinese Preferred
