We are seeking full-time VDC/BIM Engineers for our Salt Lake City, UT office. Both remote and on-site positions are available. This position assists in modeling electrical systems in a 3D environment for electrical construction projects.
Primary responsibilities include: • Understand and efficiently operate Autodesk Revit modeling software as applied to electrical construction. • Create Shop Drawings, Install Sheets, and Prefab Build Sheets per department standards. • Assist in modeling electrical systems as needed such as electrical equipment, conduit raceways, cable tray, assemblies, etc. • Assist in creating material take-offs from model as needed. • Review work with Project Lead and/or Manager to finalize drawing submissions. • Attend and participate in internal coordination meetings when needed. • Interact with project team to coordinate model/drawing information and mitigate issues. • Visit project sites and be familiar with project site conditions as needed to ensure accuracy of our drawings. • Create, maintain, and coordinate project record (as-built) drawings for submission at project completion. • Create and additional documentation such as DWG, RVT, PDF, NWC, etc.
Successful candidates will have the following skills and qualifications: • Self-starter with Excellent communication skills. • Ability to work well with others. • Flexible to design & coordination changes. • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit. • Familiar with AutoCAD/Navisworks a plus. • Understand standard drafting procedures, processes, and attention to detail. • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprints, and drawings. • Familiarity with electrical equipment, materials, and specifications • Successful drug test.
