About the Role
Primarily responsible for implementing environmental remediation projects. This position requires strong work planning, sequencing and staff management skills to execute field construction projects within scopes, schedules, and budgets to meet contract requirements.
What you will be doing
Oversees projects at multiple sites with little to no direct supervision. Projects consist of multidiscipline tasks with integral scheduling components.
Directly responsible for implementation, oversight, and reinforcement of all ERRG and client Health and Safety requirements.
Directs field personnel, equipment operators, laborers and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delay and keep project progress on track.
Complete required field documentation daily and accurately.
Strong command of means and methods for construction activities.
Ability to understand and recognize contract requirements; and identify potential changed conditions or out of scope items.
Assist in preparation of cost estimates with appropriate back-up.
Anticipate and proactively minimize schedule conflicts.
Ensure daily activities conform to budget and schedule.
Procures materials and negotiates with vendors/subcontractors.
Completes initial accident investigation documentation and applicable after actions including (development of standard operating procedures (SOP), H&S stand downs, etc.).
Attends site walks, solicits subcontractor quotes, prepares estimates, and assist in submitting proposals.
Computer skills including Microsoft office suite
Ability to recognize and initiate efficiency improvements.
Works directly with senior management to establish long and short-term goals.
Assist in projecting cost to complete and preparation of change order documentation when needed.
Responsible for supervision and career development of up to 10 direct craft reports.
Ability to travel up to 50 percent of time to project sites across multiple states for project execution, as needed.
What you bring
8 years of experience leading environmental cleanup, soil remediation, demo/decon or habitat restoration projects
Demonstrated experience with multi-disciplinary staff executing construction projects
Supervisor Training
Nice to Have, but not required
40-Hour HAZWOPER training and currently 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
USACE/Department of Defense (DoD) contract experience
