About the Role
As the Director of Data Science, you will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. You will be responsible for overseeing our data science team, driving the development of machine learning pipelines, and ensuring our ad auction processes are optimized and efficient. This role is crucial for shaping the future of our ad tech platform.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
Ad Tech Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of ad auctions and real-time bidding to enhance our ad tech capabilities.
Hands-On Technical Leadership: Stay actively involved in coding and technical development, ensuring high-quality machine learning infrastructure and pipelines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to guide data-influenced product planning, prioritization, and strategy development.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the face of ML for the company, effectively communicating complex projects and strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
Desired Skills and Experience
Ad Tech and Ad Auction Experience: Proven experience in the ad tech industry, specifically with ad auctions and real-time bidding across multiple platforms.
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with machine learning pipelines and infrastructure. Transformer experience alone is not sufficient.
Leadership Experience: 10+ years leading analytics teams, with a track record of hiring, managing, and growing teams of 5 or more.
Statistical Background: A strong foundation in statistics is preferred.
Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to present complex information to stakeholders and large groups clearly and effectively.
