Position Overview Commissioning Engineer roll that is based in the home office will be responsible for helping with the setup and development of our new projects. In this roll you will be asked to interface with multiple different departments including, Engineering, Estimating, Project Controls, Project Management, and the project Owner/Clients. In addition to supporting our projects, you will be required to help maintain district commissioning standards / procedures as well as develop new ones as needed.

Location This position is located in Lenexa, KS.
Responsibilities
Scoping of all project drawings including P&IDs, One-Lines, and Vendor Drawings
Review of engineering deliverables to ensure scoping accuracy
Interface with engineering for review of flushing and cleaning provisions including steam blows, hydrolazing, HRSG cleaning, fuel gas line cleaning, and BOP system cleaning
Participating in engineering design review meetings
Review of engineered drawings
Assisting with development of commissioning estimates and review of commissioning estimates
Participate in development of project baseline commissioning schedules.
Assist in developing project specific commissioning procedures
Development of water and fuel usage studies for estimate and awarded projects
Assist QTO (Quantity Takeoff) Group with commissioning component takeoffs
Prepare component databases for project data uploads
Quality/Turnover Documentation Management
Work Package Reviews
Quality Issue Reporting
ITP Assignment Verification & Maintenance
Checkout Forms Management - Setup and Verification of completion
Attend Factory Acceptance Tests for major equipment if needed
Assist in developing and maintaining district commissioning standards and procedures
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or construction-related technology, OR extensive and related work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge, skills and abilities described above
1-5 years related commissioning experience, with preferred combined cycle power plant experience
Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience with complex EPC projects
Skilled in Blueprint reading, including Single Lines, P&ID's, Lighting, Power & Control, and Network
Knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities required to startup a combined cycle power plant
Exceptionally strong attention to detail, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience in Bluebeam preferred
