Job Title: Tax Manager - Generalist Location: Boston, MA In Office Requirements: Fully Remote (In Local Boston Area) Salary: $120K - $195K + Full Benefits + Bonus Requirements: CPA | 5+ Years in Public Accounting | Review Exp. We are a boutique CPA firm located in Boston that offers a suite of Tax, Accounting, Audit, and Family Office Services. We offer out services to individuals, small to midsize business, and non-profit organizations. We are a team of 35 employees and growing. We have been in business sine the late 70s and are continually growing. We offer a suite of benefits including capped busy season hours, unlimited PTO, remote flexibility, flex hours, a customizable client book, and a quick path to partner.
We are looking for the next generation of leaders who want to take this firm to the next level. We have a couple of partners that are looking to retire in the coming years and want motivated individuals who want a path to partnership. While we can be fully remote we prefer individuals in the local are that can be present for major meetings and meet with clients if they are looking to get to partnership.
What You Will Be Doing
Prepare, Review, manage tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations of businesses and HNWIs
Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax liability
Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates
Prepare or review complex U.S. and state individual income, gift tax, and estate tax returns
Conduct complex tax research and prepare memorandum outlining findings and conclusions
Respond to IRS and state agency audits, inquires, and tax notices
Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax matters
Lead department in knowledge of software, processes, and workflows
What You Need for this Position
Required
At least 4-7+ years of Public Accounting experience
Prep for S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, Individual & Multi-state tax
Review for S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, Individual & Multi-state tax
Strong Prep and Review experience
Active CPA or EA
Nice To Have
Strong experience working with Gift, Trust, and Estate Returns
Experience Signing off on Returns
Benefits Base Salary: $120,000 - $195,000
