Evergreen Healthcare Partners, a leading healthcare IT consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Consultant for a 3-month contract position in Yuma, AZ at a community hospital. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide on-site technical support for a backlog of service tickets, troubleshoot PC and hardware issues, and ensure efficient resolution of any IT challenges faced by end-users in a healthcare environment. This position requires a hands-on professional who can work independently to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Ticket Resolution: Address and resolve a backlog of support tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues.
On-Site Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for PC issues, hardware replacements, and peripheral installations directly at the Yuma location.
System Maintenance: Perform system updates, virus scans, software installations, and maintenance on desktop systems.
Documentation: Accurately document all troubleshooting and problem resolution steps in the ticketing system.
Collaborate: Work with other IT team members to escalate unresolved issues and share insights to improve ticket resolution processes.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years of experience in desktop support or a related IT support role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows operating systems, hardware diagnostics, and software installation.
Ticketing Systems: Experience with a ticketing system to track and resolve support requests.
Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Availability: Must be able to work on-site in Yuma, AZ for the full contract duration. Travel reimbursement available, local candidates preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a high-volume support environment with proven ability to manage multiple tickets.
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are a plus.
Experience working in a healthcare environment
