Our Data Platform Engineering team is looking for an experienced MongoDB Engineer to strengthen our scalable data platform. This platform fosters innovation and enhances efficiency throughout the enterprise, supporting essential business functions and applications. You will be instrumental in advancing innovation across our organization through the design and implementation of MongoDB solutions that adhere to best practices.
Requirements:
Proficiency with MongoDB Enterprise and MongoDB Atlas.
Experience scripting in Python (preferred) or PowerShell for automation tasks.
Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management.
Familiarity with Azure services and competencies; Azure SQL experience is a plus.
Knowledge of database optimization and performance tuning techniques.
Experience deploying and managing MongoDB in cloud environments using IaC.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and application teams.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a MongoDB subject matter expert, guiding the adoption and best practices of MongoDB Enterprise and MongoDB Atlas.
Design, architect, and implement scalable MongoDB solutions that optimize performance and reliability.
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, particularly Terraform, to manage MongoDB deployments in Azure (GCP experience acceptable).
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and integration of MongoDB solutions.
Collaborate with Data Platform Engineering, Business, and Application teams to deliver effective MongoDB solutions.
Optimize database queries, indexes, and performance tuning strategies to ensure efficient data operations.
Implement monitoring and scalability frameworks to maintain high availability of MongoDB clusters.
Champion database design, data modeling, and integration practices aligned with cloud deployment and security principles.
Engage in troubleshooting and incident response for MongoDB-related issues.
