Job Description:
Long-term contract as a W2 Employee of Talent Groups.
Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Lexington, MA 02420.
The IT Administrator is responsible for:
- Support Windows and Apple based Operating Systems
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams for resolution
- Create and update technical documentation
- Remediate issues identified in monitoring alerts
- Perform failure analysis and determine corrective action plans
- Support on-premise virtualization environment
- Provide cloud infrastructure support
- Manage and maintain peripheral equipment (printers, copiers, etc.) in our office locations
- Collaborate with IT Leadership and others to research, analyze, and determine standards for hardware, software, and security solutions
- Work with Information Security to monitor and ensure compliance with security policies and practices
- Specify, order, stage, and coordinate the configuration of employee computing equipment
- Manage IT support vendor relationships and service levels
- Oversee inventory management of software and hardware components
You Bring...
- BS Computer Science or related field or a minimum five years of IT Administrator experience
- Minimum two years IT Administrator experience (plus a related degree)
- Proven experience as a desktop administrator, network administrator or similar role
- Proven experience in setting up, managing and troubleshooting Linux operating systems
- Experience administering networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
- Microsoft and Apple desktop and Network certifications preferred
- Plus if experienced with Fortinet firewalls, switches and/ or wireless access points
