Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with deep expertise in IT networking and infrastructure to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold relevant certifications and possess a robust background in designing, analyzing, and managing complex network systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.
Active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Enterprise or Security.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
Ten years of technical experience in IT networking.
Recent certifications, such as:
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Enterprise Infrastructure or Security.
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) from Palo Alto Networks.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and document computer networks and infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation for statewide networks.
Develop and analyze network designs and protocols, focusing on security, disaster recovery, and client support.
Plan, forecast, and implement network systems to support growth and new product integration.
Lead major network projects, oversee capacity upgrades, and ensure seamless integration of new features.
Evaluate network systems and recommend maintenance improvements.
Apply up-to-date knowledge of LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center networking to enhance efficiency and standardization.
Ensure security compliance and adherence to network standards.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and proactive problem identification and resolution.
Reporting & Collaboration
Generate weekly project progress reports.
Conduct regular status meetings and collaborate with team members to resolve end-user issues.
Lead network design and implementation efforts, providing ongoing support and maintenance.
Skills and Experience
Expertise in Layer 2 & 3 optimization, boundary virtual switching, and scalable routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
Knowledge of enterprise data center, cloud networking, and SDN.
Experience with Zero Trust Network Access, WAN optimization, and enterprise VoIP.
Proficiency in network security services, including Identity Management, malware filtering, intrusion prevention, and VPNs.
Ability to configure and secure Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Palo Alto platforms.
Experience with network management protocols and enterprise wireless access systems.
Desired Capabilities
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior team members.
Effective communication skills for presentations and technical documentation.
Familiarity with IP multicast, enterprise video conferencing, and scripting languages.
