Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the hardware and software environment located in the corporate Data Centers throughout the US. The position contributes technical leadership to other Systems Engineers who also support the computing environment for all company servers.

System Administration & Infrastructure Management
Assist in all operational functions for servers, including operating systems management, backup processes, offsite backup transfers, system documentation, and oversight of delegated tasks.
Strategically plan and manage changes to computing environments, focusing on Windows Server, Active Directory, VSAN Storage, VMware components, backup strategies, and system policies.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of all server hardware, storage systems, and related components.
Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.
Deliver proactive and reactive support for Windows Server environments, including those running on virtualized (VMware) platforms.
Test and deploy new hardware and software, along with upgrades, ensuring compatibility and optimal system performance.
Document the current infrastructure environment, including hardware, software, and changes, keeping all records updated.
Track and report on hardware and software capacity utilization and develop strategies for optimization.
Assist to define, establish, and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure consistent, reliable service delivery.
Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and best practices for effective system support.
Security & Compliance
High level security certificates administration, including installation, renewal, and troubleshooting for applications and servers.
Ensure server infrastructure is updated regularly to address vulnerabilities identified by IT security processes, maintaining compliance with security standards and best practices.
Support security audits, assessments, and certifications, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
Support the Disaster Recovery (DR) plan to ensure critical applications meet defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs).
Monitor data and server state backup processes to guarantee recoverability.
Participate in the testing and validation of DR environments and contribute to business continuity planning.
Conduct and support DR drills, updating recovery plans to meet evolving needs and mitigate risks.
Identify opportunities to enhance DR capabilities, reduce risk, and strengthen business continuity strategies.
Collaboration & Vendor Management
Collaborate with IT teams to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of company IT infrastructure.
Provide third-level technical support to internal IT teams and resolve complex system issues.
Work with other teams to update server standards, implement security improvements, and streamline operational processes.
Establish and maintain relationships with key infrastructure vendors, monitoring equipment warranties and recommending contractual changes where necessary.
Develop a strategic vendor roadmap to align with business needs, executing annual action plans in coordination with key technology partners.
General Duties
Ensure the consistent application of server imaging standards across all platforms.
Maintain high levels of expertise through continuous education and certification in relevant technologies (self-paced, online, or project-based learning).
Provide timely updates to the Director of Server Operations regarding assigned tasks, escalating issues when necessary and adhering to project timelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned, ensuring the stability and security of the IT environment.

Education/Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure support in a complex business and systems environment
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent IT systems experience
Must have strong tactical and working knowledge of all technologies currently in-use and planned
Must possess the ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge in a timely manner for the appropriate task.
Formal Project Management experience preferred
Experience in process-oriented environment, incident management, process and change management within ITIL framework desired
3 - 5 years of Active Directory related experience, preferably in a distributed environment encompassing DNS, DHCP, and WINS expertise.
Experience with the following technologies is preferred:
VMware ESX server 7.5 or higher, VSAN, Aria, NSXT, Tanzu, and Horizon
Extensive experience in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy management.
Strong proficiency in VMware administration, including vSphere, ESXi, VSAN, and virtualized environment management.
In-depth experience with security certificate administration, including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), SSL/TLS, Etc.
Experience with VSAN/SAN Storage systems, backup solutions, and DR planning.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, CISSP) are highly desirable.
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or higher, CompTIA Network+, and A+ certifications preferred
Language Ability:
Must have good reading, writing, and speaking skills to effectively communicate with studios, managers, and co-workers.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to develop and interpret charts.
Reasoning Ability:
Perform under pressure and/or opposition at times relying on your own independent judgment and knowledge to decide the best directions and solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Systems Engineer III has no supervisory responsibility; however, this position must often take a leadership role in the identification and resolution of hardware and software problems.
