Job Description:
Odyssey is working with an aerospace company to find an experienced Payroll & HRIS Manager.
This is a full-time position.
It will be onsite initially and then turn hybrid.Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing & Compliance
- Manage payroll for all employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, working closely with Paylocity and leveraging the platform's features and resources.
- Handle multi-state, union, and international payrolls, coordinating with third-party vendors for global payroll processing needs.
- Transition Management & Reporting
- Lead payroll operations through initial and ongoing transitions, asking key questions and anticipating potential challenges.
- Build, analyze, and interpret payroll reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with a Paylocity service representative for system configurations as necessary.
- Adaptability & Problem Solving
- Act as a reliable single-point payroll expert, with minimal backup support from an HR Generalist.
- Bring organization and structure to a dynamic, evolving role, navigating complex payroll needs and managing multi-entity payroll transitions.
- Future Expansion & Travel
- Minimal travel initially, with potential travel as responsibilities expand to other entities.
Requirements:Technical Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' payroll management experience, with strong experience in Paylocity or comparable payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday).
- Proficiency in payroll reporting and analysis beyond data entry; skilled in report-building and interpretation.
Industry-Specific Knowledge (At least one required):
- Experience with union payrolls/employees.
- Experience managing multi-state or multi-site payrolls.
- International payroll coordination and vendor management.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong adaptability, with the ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and manage complex payroll functions independently.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
