Role Overview: The Business Analyst will be central to driving financial insights and analysis, contributing to strategic initiatives that propel the firm forward. This role involves collaboration with Practice Group Leaders, the Executive Committee, and other top decision-makers. It is also responsible for real-time financial dashboards and profitability models.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate monthly financial performance reports
Conduct financial analysis, planning, and operational metric reporting
Lead formulaic compensation reporting and collaborate with the Payroll team
Analyze historical data to support pricing and billing rate proposals
Support strategic pricing initiatives with financial modeling and data insights
Extract and summarize data from multiple sources for internal and client reporting
Prepare ad hoc reports and respond to financial/statistical surveys
Contribute to the annual budgeting process
Assist in the development of profitability models and best practices in financial analysis
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis experience, in a law firm
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, data science, computer science, or a related field
Strong knowledge of law firm business processes, including pricing and budgeting
Advanced expertise in financial modeling and Excel functionalities
