Position Overview
Our team at Hotel Bardo Savannah is looking for a passionate, service-driven, and experienced Director of Banquets. This leader will manage our banquet operations, ensuring the seamless execution of special events, weddings, dinners, and corporate meetings. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to inspire and manage a team of hospitality professionals to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the entire banquet department, including hiring, training, and supervising the banquet team.
Oversee event setup and execution, ensuring the highest standards of service and professionalism are met. Work collaboratively with the events team and the clients to understand and meet their needs.
Work closely with the events and sales team to ensure seamless communication with guests, addressing all specific requests and ensuring event details are executed flawlessly.
Work closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless coordination between the culinary and banquet teams, facilitating the timely and accurate delivery of agreed upon food and beverage services.
Ensure that events adhere to all brand and service standards by maintaining high expectations of cleanliness, presentation, and service quality.
Address any guest needs or concerns promptly and professionally.
Develop and manage the banquet department's budget, ensuring cost control and maximizing revenue. Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Director of Banquets or similar leadership role, preferably in a luxury hotel
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of food and beverage operations, banquet setup, and service
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused attitude
Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis
Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with poise.
