We seek a highly experienced Senior HVAC Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial mechanical construction projects in the Los Angeles area. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid technical background in HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and building automation systems, and at least eight years of project management experience. The successful candidate will manage every phase of HVAC projects, from design and estimation to execution, ensuring high-quality results on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of commercial HVAC projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and client specifications.
Provide technical oversight during the design and estimation phases, ensuring HVAC system components (chillers, boilers, piping, etc.) meet project requirements.
Utilize software tools like Bluebeam, MS Project, and AutoCAD to manage project workflows, documentation, and schedules.
Oversee coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely project delivery.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality control standards, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project progress, update stakeholders regularly, and proactively address any potential issues to maintain project momentum.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience managing large-scale commercial HVAC projects, particularly in high-rise buildings, healthcare facilities, or other complex environments.
Technical proficiency with Bluebeam, MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, and other construction management tools.
Familiarity with building automation systems such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, and Johnson Controls Metasys is highly preferred.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively while delivering high-quality HVAC solutions.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
