Summary:

The Process Improvement Lead, is responsible for change management, operations safety, quality, and more in the Manufacturing department. Responsible for ensuring the daily operations of assigned functional area are met through scheduling, and troubleshooting. This individual has strong attention to detail, works very well cross-functionally, specifically with Director level staff and above, while maintaining great data analytics and new process leads.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identifies and implements changes in the operation to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging processes, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
  • Analyzing existing systems and identify areas of improvement through process modifications.
  • Developing plans for existing process improvement or new process installation including equipment selection, process flow, time studies, and equipment layout.
  • Develop and track downtime reporting and trends associated with packaging.
  • Developing operational standards for equipment and processes.
  • Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.

Qualifications:
  • Worker needs to be able to Work Independently, Flexible
  • Experience in Manufacturing Management, Cross Functionality, Project Management.
  • Experience working in a Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or other CI Environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects/teams.
  • The ability to learn in-house software systems and utilize that knowledge effectively and efficiently.

Education and/or Experience:
  • B.S. degree from a 4-year college or university, in a technical or engineering curriculum preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years, 5 years preferred management experience.
