CoWorx Staffing Services has an immediate opening for a Freight Claims Coordinator with our premier client, Yamaha Motor Corporation in Kennesaw, GA. This Freight Claims Coordinator will be responsible for all damage claims; visible and concealed for all product lines. Investigation and resolution of lost freight in transit to or from dealers.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch.
Pay rate range: $20.00 to $22.00 an hour based on experience.

In this role, you will: • Gather and compile information required to process claims. Determine method of shipment, and prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents. • Record claim information into appropriate database. • Be responsible for the timely administration of freight claims. This includes investigation into the claims, evaluation, and subsequent settlement of claims within the guidelines set by Yamaha. Responsibility includes maintaining proper files and documentation to support payment of claims. • Facilitate the processing and collection of monies related to freight claims averaging $500,000 annually. Resolve all claims and collection from carriers. Code checks and submits to accounting. • Interface with Warranty department. Respond to customer inquiries regarding the process. • Manage and balance the Freight Claim account to ensure low balance. • Maintain proper files and documentation. Generate claim report monthly for management use. • Perform other duties as assigned. • This position will interact with external dealers, transportation providers, and marine insurance companies. And, internally with Warranty, Regional Technical Advisors (RTA), Accounting, Motorsports, Marine, Watercraft, and Logistics • Other duties as assigned by manager or senior production specialist.
What you need to succeed in this role: • High school diploma required with some college coursework preferred. • Prior experience in freight claims is highly desired. • General office, clerical skills and strong telephone skills. • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office. Knowledge in Comand, YCRMS, YDS and SAP a plus. • Must be highly organized and detail oriented with good follow-up skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities (multi-tasking). • This job requires strong customer service skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. • Competencies in system knowledge, analytical ability, organizational skills, problem solving and transportation claims (OS&D).
