GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Tax Analyst reports to the Director of Tax and primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Support federal and state income tax returns compliance process and work paper preparations
Update and maintain tax calendar to ensure accurate and timely filings
Support work paper preparations for income tax provision
Responds to notices and inquiries from various taxing authorities
Assists with tax audits from various taxing authorities
Collaborates with other departments/teams on tax issues and/or provides assistance on projects as requested
Keep up to date with tax changes and industry trends
Assist with account reconciliations for all above taxes and value added tax accounts (returns are prepared by external consultants)
Prepare all tax funding requests
Follow internal controls and develop further compliance efficiencies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have Masters of Tax or Masters of Accounting (with emphasis in Tax) degree and at least 2-5 years of relevant tax experience
CPA a plus
Proficiency in Excel - ability to create large workbooks, build formulas and pivot tables, and other projects
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions
Ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders
