Apply for and obtain necessary state contractor's licenses for the states where we do business
Acquire necessary township licenses and permits
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all company licenses
Track licensing renewals and requirements to ensure that all deadlines are met and licenses stay current
Prepare for and take state contractor's licensing examinations
Assist with other office and administrative tasks as needed - as part of a small business, we support and cover for each other

We seek an Administrative Assistant to provide support to our operations team in the areas of construction licensing to ensure our outdoor structures and modular homes comply with local, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements. We are open to considering both full-time and part-time applicants for this position. Our ideal candidate is an administrative professional who is highly detailed and organized and has strong research skills and previous experience with construction and/or building codes and permits.
Our Ideal Administrative Assistant - Construction Licensing:
Experienced: Previous experience in an administrative assistant, executive assistant, clerical, or other office role. Previous experience in building, construction, building codes, or permitting is a plus.
Analytical: Strong research skills with the ability to dive into and interpret licensing and building/construction code documents.
Accurate: can work with minimal mistakes and high accuracy. Must be organized and detailed. Able to ensure compliance with deadlines/due dates.
Self-motivated: Assesses the work required and has the initiative to get started; diligently drives tasks to completion. Able to work with minimal supervision.
Computer Savvy: Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate licensing websites.
Collaborative: Able to collaborate with multiple departments and keep them informed on state licensing updates.
Great Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and effectively with state agencies and our team.
Team Player: Someone collaborative, humble enough to admit mistakes, and driven to do excellent work.
