We made the transition to USA manufacturing two years ago and established a facility in Seymour, Indiana.
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Precision Machining Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining both CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality parts for robotic weld fixtures and automation equipment. This role requires an individual who excels in precision machining, has a deep understanding of CNC programming, and is proficient with manual machining processes.
SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, AND/OR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
CNC Programming & Operation:
o Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.) to produce precision parts according to design specifications.
o Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs to maximize efficiency and minimize production time.
o Perform setups, tool changes, and adjustments to ensure precise machining.
Manual Machining:
o Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other shop equipment for custom part production.
o Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate fabrication.
o Measure and inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
o Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine performance, tooling, and programming errors.
o Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machines to keep them in optimal working condition.
o Recommend improvements for processes, tooling, and programs to enhance production quality and efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication:
o Work closely with design engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless production workflow.
o Provide feedback on designs to improve manufacturability and reduce production costs.
o Maintain accurate records of programs, tooling setups, and maintenance activities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
? Strong attention to detail
? Technical proficiency- working knowledge of systems and software used in the inventory control process such as Luge, Katana, Excel, etc.
? Analytical skills- the ability to view trends and anomalies in inventory movements to better optimize inventory movement and planning.
