M2 Construction is searching for an Industrial Utility Mechanic to work on various jobs across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware. We build reliable & resilient water and wastewater infrastructure for municipalities and private companies. Travel up to 5 hours from Lancaster and stay in a hotel when over 90 minutes away
Assemble, install, maintain, & pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, gas systems, process piping, chemical piping, and other utilities according to specs and plumbing codes
Troubleshoot, repair, & install water, sewer systems, drain systems, and related equipment, including pumps, screens, valves, flow meters, sensors, floats, etc.
Perform inspections & tests on plumbing equipment and systems
Work four 10-hour days (or sometimes 3 11-hour days), Monday through Thursday, from 6 AM to 4 PM
Our Ideal Industrial Utility Mechanic:
Experienced: 2-3 years of industrial maintenance or construction experience. Must be able to travel and stay out of town.
Team Player: Gets along and works efficiently with a team. Owns up to mistakes, pulls their weight, and is friendly.
Problem-solver: Someone who can gather & analyze information to resolve a problem; able to navigate changes and work efficiently.
Detailed & Accurate: A task-oriented, organized person with high standards. Able to prioritize tasks & deliver work done right.
Clear Communicator: Collaborates with the team and troubleshoots issues together.
Active: This is a hands-on, active role that requires lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, kneeling, reaching, squatting, and climbing.
Must provide basic hand tools.
