About the Role:
Responsible for replicating DBs and updating DBs
Data Management (80%) • Establishes an agency data management program using frameworks. • Establishes an agency data governance program by identifying the agency's data assets, exercising authority and management over those assets, and establishing related processes and procedures. • Conducts data maturity assessments and data governance as required . • Creates and enforces policies for effective data management. • Formulates management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.
Responsibilities:
This manager will take care of policies and compliances by applying data policies and ensuring data architecture is built. They will build data storage in various spaces.
Needs to be hands on and learn too and grow into policy space
No people management for not, they will eventually have a team to manage
Daily critical thinking. trouble shooting, regular data management operations and governance.
TOP REQUIRED SKILLS:
5+ years with a background in Database administration, Data management, Data engineering/architecture, data governance execution
Experienced with security and databases, client has multiple data bases they have written code for.
Oracle SQL and data warehouse oracle cloud
SQL server
Analytics and Reporting
ETL SAS integration tools
Know about policy standards and implement them.
Understanding of HERPA, HIPAA, and GLBA
Able to define data lineage
Knows data management and data flow
Project management experience and capabilities
Preferred Skills:
cloud oracle or Azure preferred
Soft Skills:
Self started and self motivated.
Good verbal and written communication
Good people management skills and able to influence and build relationships
Ability to mentored and lead teams, actual people management experience is a plus
