Keene Housing (KH) is a nationally recognized leader in housing policy reform and affordable housing development. KH is seeking a full-time Special Adviser for Planning and Development. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for writing and administering grants for development, acquisition, and/or redevelopment of affordable housing or other related development projects, including renewable energy. The Special Adviser for Planning and Development provides strategic, topical, and operational guidance and hands-on implementation.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school or 5 years combination of education and experience preferably in affordable housing, community development, or a similar field. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in writing, editing, and proofreading grant proposals with a focus on clarity, detail, and accuracy. Familiarity with federal, state, and local housing and community development programs (e.g., HUD, CDBG, HOME, LIHTC) is preferable, but not required.
