The Business Office Director leads the teams responsible for billing, claims follow-up, denials management, medical coding, and posting insurance payments and remittances. Under the direction of the CFO, and in collaboration with other clinical and revenue cycle leaders, leads initiatives and processes related to AR management, denials management, coding, and documentation improvements. The Business Office Director leads a team of 16 dedicated individuals in the areas of billing, coding, and payment posting.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, healthcare, or related. Relevant experience in healthcare revenue cycle will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Solid experience in healthcare insurance claim processing and coding is required.
Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, HCPCS, and ICD-10.
Experience with critical access hospital (CAH) and rural health clinic (RHC) regulations, preferred.
