Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee Healthcare projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience in managing complex Healthcare specific projects with at least 5 years as a Lead Superintendent.
As a Superintendent, you will ensure the overall daily supervision of field operations. This includes but is not limited to supervision of all field operations team members, ensuring a safe work environment, efficiently managing the planning and scheduling, cost control, quality control, coordination of subcontractors, as well as providing the highest level of excellence in construction services.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and onsite personnel to ensure efficient workflow
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations & building codes
Review and interpret contract documents, specifications, shop drawings and submittals
Develop and execute site specific logistic plans
Review and be familiar with contract documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
Maintain and submit daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs and E-mail correspondence.
Conduct pre-construction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of work; ensure adherence to Thomas standards of workmanship and plan of work.
Managing the project schedule and communicating any changes to all affected parties.
Reviewing project progress, cost reports, schedules and requirements for completion.
Utilize all available technology to track progress and keep self and team informed.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
10+ years related experience with construction projects, mechanical/electrical systems, building materials, building mechanics or working with craft workers.
OSHA 30 training
Experience with sustainable construction practices
Physical ability to walk site throughout the day, climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
