Directs others and aiding in Layout, fitting, and the welding of steel and aluminum components to assemble structural forms such as triangle frames, rectangle frames, pile frames, columns, struts, and other building parts by performing the following duties. Reads and corrects blueprints that have errors. Checks over material list to ensure proper material is ordered. Dependability for work schedule is crucial as well as attention and compliance with safety rules and regulations. Successful candidates will be required to participate in a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screening per our Drug Free Workplace policy. Dependability for work schedule is crucial.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Direct and lead employees; • Read drawings • Develops layout and tack parts; • Calculates figures such as angles and areas; • Interprets a variety of instructions in written, oral diagram or schedule form; • Operates small hand tools such as grinders, drills, and band saws; • Operates forklift; • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as punch, shear, notcher, torch or drill press; • Positions, fits, and aligns tack parts; • Designs and fabricates templates; • Verifies product conformance using blueprints and other means; • Makes repairs to products by dismantling, reshaping and reassembling; and • Other duties as assigned.
