As a Scientist II, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative team and will play a critical role in performing Quality Control assays and experiments on molecular biology reagents for global use in research and commercial products in the life sciences industry.
The primary responsibilities of this role include: • qualifying product(s) in a lab setting following standard operating procedures • Performing various assays which may include the following: PCR, qPCR, Bioanalyzer, HPLC, HPIC, small/medium nucleic acid purification, Polyacrylamide and Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, Cloning and Transformation, FRET and Flow Cytometry. • Creating and maintaining specification batch records and other work order documents • Analyzing data and making detailed observations to ensure product quality • Initiating and processing problem notifications for deviations and material nonconformance • Maintaining equipment, product inventories, and related records
How will you get here? • Required: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or research laboratory setting. • Demonstrated proficiency in scientific laboratory techniques and equipment • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or GMP manufacturing environment • Strong commitment to continuous improvement
