One of Medix's top ranked clients within the Chicagoland area is looking to bring in an experienced Workday Technical Applications Lead for a full time opportunity. The Workday Technical Applications Lead will oversee the management of Workday's technical suite of applications within our hospital system. This includes integrations, report writing, report administration, PRISM, Workday Analytics, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, and Extend. As the subject matter expert for the technical Workday team, the Lead will guide a team of integration analysts and developers, report writers, and collaborate closely with other Workday application leaders to enhance the functionality and performance of our Workday environment.
Responsibilities:
Architecture and Management: Serve as the lead architect for the implementation and ongoing management of integrations, reports, dashboards, PRISM, Worksheets, Discovery Boards, and Extend applications within Workday.
Collaboration and Design: Partner with HR, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Research, and Technical teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure that delivered applications add value to [Hospital System Name].
System Oversight: Proactively manage system stability, performance, and security, addressing any technical issues swiftly and effectively.
Technical Leadership: Provide expert input on technical design and best practices to maximize the use of Workday functionalities, ensuring optimal outcomes.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors for application integration and coordinate with external consultants as necessary.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Workday updates and industry best practices to continuously enhance HR and payroll processes.
Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Workday technical analysts, fostering a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and deliverables.
Performance Accountability: Ensure team adherence to policies regarding the management of technical artifacts, including design and testing documentation, while following defined Change Control procedures.
Change Control Coordination: Coordinate and ensure that proper change control processes are consistently followed.
Shared Management: Collaborate with other Workday application leads to manage the overall application environment of Workday effectively
Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Prior experience working within an enterprise level healthcare environment or higher education
Prior experience and hands on exposure to a complete Workday implementation project including all modules
3-5 years experience working within Workday technical apps, reporting, analytics, development of dashboards, etc
Technical experience in report writing and integration development report writer
Previous experience working within Java, Python, or Microsoft programming languages
Workday certifications (bonus)
Compensation is based on previous experience, education, certifications, and Workday exposure. Compensation ranges from $155,000-165,000
