About the Role

The Manager of Prior Authorization & Preregistration is responsible for leading and optimizing the patient access and intake functions at IVX Health. This role ensures that patients are financially and medically cleared for treatment, managing processes such as centralized scheduling, financial counseling, copay assistance, and prior authorization. You'll work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline onboarding, resolve issues, and provide a superior patient experience. Additionally, you will mentor and develop team members, support new market launches, and oversee performance metrics to continually enhance the intake process.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and mentor the intake and prior authorization teams, ensuring an outstanding patient onboarding experience.
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and national teams to drive process improvements and resolve issues effectively.
  • Play a strategic role in onboarding new markets, working with leadership to develop a clear roadmap for success.
  • Oversee training and development efforts to ensure your team is fully equipped to excel.
  • Develop, review, and maintain intake processes, language, and training materials, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Track performance, identify potential issues, and ensure that patient access functions run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Conduct market and legislative research to stay ahead of trends and regulations in patient access and healthcare delivery.

Job Qualifications

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (HIPAA) and insurance verification processes.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for clear communication with patients, team members, and leadership.
  • Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with various teams to resolve issues and improve patient access.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and effective in resolving escalated patient or operational issues.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to track performance metrics and make informed decisions based on data.
  • Patient-Centric Approach: Provide a superior experience by guiding patients through financial and medical clearance processes.
  • EHR Proficiency: Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for managing patient information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management or related field
  • At least five (5) years of experience working in a health care organization with a specific background in operations and intake processes
  • Extensive experience with patient intake, prior authorization and financial counseling preferred
