Position Overview We are seeking a GeoTech Engineer to join our team, responsible for assessing and analyzing soil and rock properties to support various engineering projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety and durability of structures and infrastructure through comprehensive geotechnical investigations and analyses.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct geotechnical investigations and site reconnaissance.
Perform soil and rock classification and laboratory testing.
Analyze data and prepare technical reports on findings.
Collaborate with civil engineers and other stakeholders on project requirements.
Manage field exploration and subsurface utility engineering activities.
Develop design parameters and recommendations based on engineering analysis.
Oversee construction materials testing and inspections.
Assist in project management and proposal writing efforts.
Engage in client relations and communicate project updates effectively.
Utilize AutoCAD and GIS software for project modeling and presentations.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
EIT/PE License preferred or in progress.
Experience in geotechnical engineering and environmental investigations.
Proficiency in Construction Materials Testing and Inspections.
Familiarity with field exploration techniques and soil/rock classification.
Strong project management and proposal writing skills.
Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and budgeting practices.
Experience with computer modeling and engineering calculations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
