SALARY: $43,000/yr - $45,000/yr (Depending on experience) + Bonus

THE JOB
The purpose of the Accounting Coordinator role is to complete all daily, weekly and assist with all monthly bookkeeping tasks of the business to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, etc..
Additionally, the role holder supports management during annual financial audit and supports the customer service team as needed. This person leads by providing the best example of world class customer service combined with thoughtful decision-making by always keeping the company's policies and mission in mind.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key Tasks
Daily, weekly and monthly bank/cash reconciliation
Accounts Payable (AP) activities including bill entry, payment allocation and weekly Aged Payable review
Accounts Receivable (AR) activities including Customer invoice entry, payment entry and applications, weekly Aged Receivables review and collection activities
Organization and maintenance of digital and physical bookkeeping records per company policy and requirements
Weekly Sales Figures report sent to wide company audience
Monthly financial statement reporting and prep
Management & Team Support Tasks
Provides staff with policy/procedural guidance and systems troubleshooting assistance
All aspects of customer service via telephone, written correspondence, email, fax and website activities
Annual financial audit assistance with reports and with samples until audit is completed
Seek ways to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree and at least 5 years of customer service experience in a professional office setting
Experience in bookkeeping with handling AR/AP/Cash transactions and reports
Practiced in maintaining financial records, reconciliation of accounts, and reporting/analysing any discrepancies or entry concerns
Excellent communication skills with high level of professionalism
Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to learn and adapt to challenges
Ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a calm, supportive and positive way
Exceptional organizational skills, familiarity with best practices in filing and record keeping
Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn ERP and CRM software applications.
Enthusiastic team player with good communication and motivational skills
Able to work on own initiative, keen to explore new ideas in the improvements of the department
Very strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Able to safely lift and handle products up to 40 lbs
