Our client is seeking a Project Manager to join their team in Atlanta, Georgia! This position will support the entire enterprise, and will primarily support software migrations and upgrades for business and IT groups. Compliance, legal, risk, and governance considerations are top priorities for all projects.
Duties:
Identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations, accurately manage budgets, and run team meetings
Ensure assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting client needs, business objectives, and design guidelines
Proactively report variances and executes the appropriate actions when variances occur
Conduct project reviews, identifying most important problem areas for improvement, and implementing solutions where appropriate
Turn around troubled projects of any size, including enterprise-wide programs
Resolve conflicts quickly and efficiently within the project team, with vendors, and with other staff competing for resources
Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, identifying areas of improvement, and successfully applying best practices
Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, vendors, and project stakeholders
Motivate project team, inspire teamwork, and take a leadership role
Focus simultaneously on big picture, details, and driving results
Desired Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years experience managing large enterprise projects and programs with experience managing complex technology projects or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary
PMP certification is required or 5+ plus years managing enterprise level projects
Agile certification and experience managing projects in an Agile environment are a plus
Skilled at utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project
Strong project planning skills are essential, with the ability to monitor and track details across various tools
Portfolio management experience is valuable, with responsibilities including administrative tasks and resource planning
