Our client, a leading Owner's Representative firm, specializes in managing complex life sciences and healthcare construction projects. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of high-profile life sciences facilities in New Jersey.
Position Overview:
The Project Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of life sciences construction projects. This role requires strong project management skills, a deep understanding of life sciences environments, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliverables from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination: Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules. Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure milestones are met.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact between the project owner, contractors, and consultants. Facilitate communication and manage stakeholder expectations.
Budget & Cost Management: Monitor budgets, approve invoices and change orders, and take corrective actions to address potential cost overruns.
Schedule & Risk Management: Maintain project schedules, identify delays, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
Quality Assurance: Ensure construction quality meets project specifications and regulatory standards.
Reporting: Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders on budget, schedule, and risks.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Experience: 10+ years in project management, with 3+ years in life sciences or healthcare projects (labs, GMP facilities, etc.).
Skills: Strong knowledge of construction management, budget/schedule control, and risk management. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project). PMP, LEED, or similar certifications a plus.
