We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic tax planning advice to clients. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing expert guidance to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation: Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Tax Planning: Analyze financial data and advise clients on tax-saving strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Provide proactive tax planning advice tailored to the unique needs and objectives of each client.
Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings. Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations to clients and colleagues.
Client Consultation: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide guidance on tax matters. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Representation: Represent clients in tax audits, appeals, and other interactions with tax authorities. Advocate on behalf of clients to resolve tax disputes and negotiate favorable outcomes.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax deadlines and filing requirements. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure clients remain compliant and informed of any potential impacts.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide integrated solutions to clients' tax and financial needs. Share expertise and best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness of the team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, planning, and consulting.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools.
QuickBooks experience required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
