As a key player in HVAC production, our team of 250 employees (180 direct) specializes in engineered-to-order geothermal heat pumps, with nine diverse production lines and over 10,000 HVAC products. We foster a collaborative, multicultural environment, and we're looking for a dedicated Commercial Buyer to strengthen our supply chain operations.
Position Overview:
In this role, you'll focus on the procurement of direct materials, supporting our relationships with 121 suppliers, and driving supplier performance. You'll be on-site Monday-Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with the opportunity to work from home one day a week after six months. We're only considering local candidates; no sponsorship is available.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage supplier development and procurement of production materials within an assigned category.
Lead negotiations with suppliers to meet price reduction targets and other objectives.
Coordinate new component sourcing: prepare RFQs, track offer status, analyze quotations, negotiate terms, and make sourcing recommendations.
Maintain contract requirements, including purchase orders, pricing contracts, and other agreements.
Engage with other departments to align goals and support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Regularly update ERP systems and archive key purchasing documents.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 1-5 years in supply chain or purchasing within manufacturing.
Skills:
Strong contract strategy, negotiation, and supplier performance assessment skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle and SAP preferred); Power BI experience is a plus.
Excellent communication, adaptability, and persistence - able to work with diverse teams and actively engage with suppliers for resolution.
Willingness to support floor activities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management experience.
HVAC industry experience.
