Position Overview As a Power Delivery Estimator, you will be crucial in our organization's project estimation process. You'll work closely with the estimating team to accurately assess costs, analyze project requirements, and contribute to successful bid proposals. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to learn and grow within the power delivery industry.
District Overview Kiewit Power Delivery is a full-service engineering and construction solutions provider, completing projects of all sizes and complexity. Across North America, our experience spans all transmission and distribution market aspects from high-voltage overhead and underground transmission to distribution design, automation design and construction capabilities. With these broad capabilities, we operate in the electric utility, renewable energy, industrial, and oil and gas markets.

Responsibilities
Cost Estimation: Collaborate with senior estimators to estimate project costs for power delivery infrastructure projects.
Document Review: Read and interpret Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, construction drawings, and specifications.
Project Coordination: Assist in coordinating project meetings and discussions.
Means and Methods: Work with the estimating team to develop accurate means and methods for project execution.
Scheduling: Contribute to project schedules and timelines.
Material Takeoffs: Perform material takeoffs to determine quantities needed for construction.
Labor Rates: Establish labor wages and unit rates based on industry standards.
Data Entry: Ensure precise data entry into the estimating software.
Risk Assessment: Identify risks associated with projects and propose mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, WinEst).
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Passion for the power delivery industry and a desire to learn and grow.
