The Sr Software engineer will lead an Agile team delivering data acquisition and analysis software utilizing C++ to design, develop, test, and debug enhancements or bug fixes. This individual will engage in technical discussions, demonstrate problem-solving abilities, and present and share ideas through global collaboration.
The candidate must come to us with:
Bachelor's degree in Computers Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree
10+ years of experience in software development
8+ years of C++ experience, with at least 2+ years of experience delivering solutions in Windows.
Familiarity with Chromatography Data software is a plus.
Experience leading global Agile teams of at least 3-5 developers
Experience mentoring software engineers of varied levels of experience and across geographies to improve their understanding of the software architecture and development process
Experience eliciting and writing software requirements, use cases and user stories
Experience with estimating and planning software development projects
Experience with unit testing and automation, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
Experience with Object Oriented Design and UML.
Experience following formal software development processes
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills including excellent client facing skills and team leadership skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will additionally have
1. Understanding of MFC application framework
2. RDBMS and SQL experience
3. Experience developing software for regulatory approval
4. Proven experience in defect management, including backlog refinement, investigation, remediation
5. Strong ability to interface with various systems and integrate data for comprehensive defect tracking and management
