We are engaged in a search for a practical, hands-on CNC Programmer with at least 5 years' experience to join our clients team. 5 Axis experience and Mastercam Programming experience is a must have.
The perfect candidate will have experience with production milling, turning and/or turn/mill experience. The candidate will be setting up and running initial production for validation purposes. This is not a computer programmer position only. It requires 'hands on' machining experience as well.
This is a full-time position - Monday through Friday DAY SHIFT

Responsibilities and Duties
Create programs and setup complex jobs on various CNC Vertical Machining Centers with 3rd and 4th Axis (Haas and Brothers) and 5th Axis Mazak
Estimate: process steps, programming, setup, cycle time and tooling costs.
Have a strong knowledge of machining, metalworking principles and assembly procedures
Collaborate with Engineering, Production and QA personnel.
Develop machining processes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all company manufacturing standards/methods and policies.
Assist in resolution of manufacturing problems.
Work directly with Engineering Manager and utilize in-house HAAS VMC's with 4th and 5th Axis as well as HAAS CNC Lathes.
Demonstrate consistent application of independent judgment.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
7 - 10 years of progressive experience in a machine shop environment
5 Axis experience is required
Experience operating manual and/or CNC machine tools as well as other shop fabrication equipment
Must have experience in programming (MasterCam), setting up and running CNC Milling machines
Must have the ability to read and interpret GD&T engineering drawings.
Must have experience with machining of various metals.
Must have experience and knowledge of cutting tool properties for proper selection of tools/holders/inserts, cutting tools, speeds & feeds.
Requires knowledge of Prototype and Production work holding concepts for CNC milling & for conventional machining processes.
Knowledge of hydraulic fixtures, working mechanism and troubleshooting a plus.
Experience utilizing CAD/CAM software such as Solidworks, Unigraphics, Mastercam, and associated file formats. (parasolids, stp. Iges etc)
Requires a high level of problem analysis and solving
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office software applications
Ability to collaborate with others and communicate clearly and efficiently
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
