Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Software Developer to join a dynamic team responsible for the sustainment and modernization of custom and commercial applications focused on education, training, and learning across a government-based ecosystem for DoD.
This role requires a motivated problem-solver who thrives in high-visibility environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, enhancement, and upkeep of software that are being integrated with mission-critical systems while working closely with stakeholders.

General Role Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members to manage, maintain, and modernize learning and training platforms critical to the government enterprise.
Develop a deep technical understanding of software systems, COTS products, and integration methodologies to maintain and improve the education and learning ecosystem.
Leverage programming languages like C#, Java, PHP (and) tools: AWS, SQL Server, .NET to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system/software performance.
Participate actively in Agile sprints to enhance software systems, focusing on continuous improvement, new feature integrations, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Lead and independently address complex issues, at times working with minimal information.
Use Jira for task tracking, and Confluence for documentation to ensure project transparency and knowledge sharing.
Perform system upgrades and apply the latest industry standards to maintain cutting-edge technologies.
Conduct rigorous testing and quality checks to ensure robust software performance and stability.
Required Tech Skills:
Experience with virtual cloud environments (AWS preferred, but not required)
Proficiency with C#, Java, .NET, SQL Server
Experience with Linux or Windows systems
Experience with custom and COTS product integrations
Someone who is self-driven, innovative, forward-thinking, and willing to embrace and tackle solution challenges
Someone who enjoys brainstorming, presenting, and collaborating with teams to come up with modern scalable solutions
Someone that is commited to understanding various COTS software features, and how they could fit into a broader solution with system integration

Degree / Experience Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, with10+ years of professional experience - (OR) - 14+ years of professional experience, in lieu of a degree
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
MUST HAVE AN (ACTIVE) TS/SCI W. FULL-SCOPE POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE
(NOT REQUIRED, but Desired):
Software Development and integration experience with at least (1) government learning management system using AWS as the virtual environment
Experience with robust COTS software products and complex system integrations
Experience with BOTH Linux and Windows systems
Expert proficiency with C#, .NET, Java, and PHP programming languages
Expert proficiency with SQL Server
Passionate Software Engineer who thinks like a Solutions Architect, able to clearly communicate complex solution concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
