Position Overview:

As a Product Developer with Klim, you'll play a vital role in taking innovative motorcycle gear from concept to reality. You'll be the key bridge between the Product Line Managers, Design Teams, and factories, ensuring products are designed to meet both revenue and margin targets. Your creativity and technical expertise will help improve product functionality, fit, and construction while maintaining a seamless development process. Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage Technical Data Packages including technical drawings, bills of material, size charts, fit comments, and construction details for factory use.
  • Oversee and modify technical drawings and construction illustrations using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) in alignment with product specifications and style guides.
  • Review prototypes, pre-production, and production samples against technical packages, providing detailed feedback for revisions.
  • Manage the PLM System and ensure all development samples are organized, tracked, and labeled appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the Fit Specialist to maintain accurate size charts and conduct garment measurements in preparation for fit sessions.
  • Conduct pre-costing exercises, manage product costs in the PLM System, and offer suggestions to meet target costs.
  • Assist in-house with mock-up production and contribute ideas to enhance product construction, materials, or functionality.
  • Organize and lead product development meetings to meet product/seasonal timeline goals and stage gate deliverables.
  • Support the Product Line Manager with wear testing and provide valuable feedback for product improvement.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to collaborate with factory teams as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Design, Fashion, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in product development.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and MS Office; experience with Centric PLM System is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product construction, and technical design.
  • Basic sewing skills and a keen eye for garment fit are a plus.
