Provide leadership over process, prioritization, and review completion of projects through an Initial Project Risk Review (IPRR). This includes requirements associated with audit, risk, security, privacy, compliance and other key functions (Governance Gate Partners).
Provide orchestration between the Workstream Leads (WSLs) and Governance Gate Partners
Ensure initiative quality control and reviews of intake questionnaires to identify potential gaps
Prioritize initiatives across workstreams before review by Governance Gate Partners
Facilitates appropriate design discussions across Governance Gate Partners and Workstream leaders
Be responsible for deploying project management best practices, methodology, tools and templates for the process and completion of these reviews
Create and maintain project documentation throughout the process
Define project tasks and resource requirements, as needed
Achieve operational efficiencies by contributing information and recommendations; preparing and completing action plans; identifying trends; determining process and system improvements; implementing change
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
Be responsible for documenting and communicating the projects' progress and challenges to appropriate project stakeholders
Conduct weekly project meetings as needed and issue meeting minutes to ensure thorough communication of project plan and objectives to the team
Provide project updates in weekly status reports to upper level management (including executives)
Prioritize resources and manage deliverables to meet both project objectives.
Build schematic process maps and/or workflows
Ensure proper closure and archiving of project records and documentation.
Report delays in critical path tasks to key stakeholders and recommend solutions and risk mitigation strategies for on-time completion
Bridge the gap between highly technical and non-technical resources.
What we're looking for:
Minimum 7+ years experience as a professional project manager, or relevant years of progressive professional development in project management.
Bachelor's degree / Diploma
Qualification in project management (PMP, Prince2) or equivalent will be considered a strong asset
Expertise in governance, risk and compliance a strong plus; including security and privacy
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Direct work experience in project management capacity
Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management
Expert proficiency in creating write-ups, presentations and executive reporting.
Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise project documentation
Excellent communication, time-management, and information-gathering (including requirements gathering) skills
Ability to gracefully handle shifting priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
Ability to work and interact with all levels in the organization.
