Our Client, a rapidly growing chemical Manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will report to the VP of Finance and will run full cycle corporate accounting while helping to establish a cost accounting function. The business has been growing quickly and has plans to continue expanding via M&A. The Senior Accountant will be part of a small dedicated professional finance team and will have the opportunity to expand their skill set over time. Our client offers:

Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and account, bank & intercompany reconciliations
Prepare monthly Revenue, Flash reports and Balance sheets for your manager's review.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual reporting and tax packages;
Fixed asset physical inventory audit, tax packages, and help upload budgets.
Assist the VP Finance with the documentation and maintenance of processes and procedures for the Accounting function.
Collecting and analyzing data about company operational costs
Setting standard costs of manufactured goods
Developing and analyzing cost standards
Carrying out Price, Volume, Mix analysis (PVM)
Establishing costs of business processes such as administration, labor, shipping, etc.
Recommending changes to the company's processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit
Supporting other company staff as needed
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the responsibilities of the job
CPA or CMA and cost accounting experience a plus.
3-7 years of experience in accounting, manufacturing or food / chemical experience preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
