Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with expertise in Costing to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP FICO modules, with a focus on cost accounting, product costing, and management reporting. This role requires deep knowledge of both finance (FI) and controlling (CO) processes, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions within SAP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Configuration and Support: Configure SAP FICO modules to meet business needs, with a specific focus on Costing (Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, and Cost Center Accounting).
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for finance and costing processes.
  • Costing Process Implementation: Design and implement end-to-end costing solutions in SAP, including product costing, material ledger, actual costing, and activity-based costing.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and optimize SAP FICO processes for cost control and financial transparency.
  • Integration: Work closely with SAP MM, PP, SD, and other module consultants to ensure seamless data flow and integration between modules.
  • Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test cases for new configurations, enhancements, and support packs. Validate results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • End-User Training: Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on SAP FICO, with an emphasis on Costing functionalities.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical and functional documentation, including configuration guides, process flow diagrams, and user manuals.
  • Post-Go-Live Support: Provide ongoing support to resolve user issues and address continuous improvement opportunities after go-live.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, SAP certification in FICO) are a plus.
  • Experience: 12+ years of SAP FICO experience, with a minimum of 5 years specializing in Costing (Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis).
  • Understanding of Life Sciences regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GxP) and experience implementing SAP solutions with computer system validation;
  • Collaborating effectively with manufacturing and logistics teams to support account determination, inventory cutover preparations, and cost estimate releases;
  • Providing month-end close support, working closely with cost accountants (e.g., allocations, order settlements, management reporting) and FP&A for AOP/budgeting;
  • Demonstrates hands-on expertise in system configuration, enterprise structure, currencies, master data, and end-to-end business transactions;
  • Understanding intercompany transfer pricing in a multinational corporation and supports various transfer pricing arrangements (e.g., cost plus, LRD) for both Tax and transactional pricing;

Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules (GL, AR, AP, AA, Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders).
  • Strong experience with Product Cost Planning, Cost Object Controlling, and Material Ledger/Actual Costing.
  • Proficiency in integrating FICO with SAP modules like MM, PP, and SD.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Project Management: Experience in full lifecycle implementations, upgrades, and/or system enhancements.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry Experience: Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or other industries with complex costing requirements.
  • Advanced Costing Techniques: Familiarity with activity-based costing, job order costing, and process costing.
  • Advanced Reporting: Knowledge of SAP SAC, or other analytics tools for FP&A and cost reporting.
