The Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. This position requires a dynamic individual who can balance hands-on quality work with effective management of a quality team. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality management system, ensuring ISO compliance, and managing regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO standards.
Develop, document, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
Conduct internal audits and manage external audit processes to maintain ISO certification.
Ensure that products meet all regulatory requirements and internal quality standards before they reach the customer.
Regulatory Compliance
Monitor and manage compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, including but not limited to ISO, REACH, RoHS, Prop 65, other industry-specific regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and standards, and implement necessary changes to company practices and documentation.
Prepare and submit regulatory documentation as required.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and manage the quality team.
Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for quality team members.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure quality standards are integrated into all processes.
Hands-On Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections, audits, and testing as needed.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement
Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the quality department and across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma) are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an ISO-certified organization.
Proven experience with regulatory compliance and managing quality systems.
Strong knowledge of ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
