Job Description:

On behalf of our client, a leading engineering consulting firm, we are seeking several Telecom and Security Design Engineers proficient in Revit. As a Telecom and Security Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing cutting-edge telecommunications and security systems supporting a diverse fortune 100 and/or public sector client portfolio (higher education, data centers, healthcare, lab spaces & biotech, correctional facilities).

The position is located in Seattle, WA with remote work consideration for senior level designers.

Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Revit software to create comprehensive and detailed designs for telecommunications and security systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate telecommunications and security solutions seamlessly within the overall building design, considering mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Engage with clients in the high-tech, education, retail, and civic sectors to understand their specific requirements, preferences, and constraints, and translate them into innovative design solutions.
  • Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication with project stakeholders. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, codes, and standards related to telecommunications and security design, and ensure all designs meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of design documentation to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain a high level of technical proficiency in telecom and security systems, including emerging technologies, to provide clients with state-of-the-art solutions.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in telecom and/or security system design using Revit.
  • BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification and/or PSP (Physical Security Professional) certification a plus but not required.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with high-tech, education, retail, and civic markets is preferred.
