Lasalle Network is thrilled to be partnered with a global food and beverage distributor who's looking to add an exciting addition to their leadership team! They're seeking a Director of Training and Development in which, this person will lead the design, implementation and oversight of leadership training programs. This person will play a strategic role in creating and executing training solutions that foster leadership growth and functional skill development. This role requires collaboration across various departments and the ability to navigate a matrix organization to support the company's growth objectives effectively.
Director of Training and DevelopmentResponsibilities:
Design and implement a training and development strategy aligned with company goals and organizational structure
Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of training programs to support leadership development and build a pipeline of future leaders
Build and guide a high-performing team, setting challenging goals, managing performance and fostering an engaging, empowering culture
Partner with Human Resources, leadership and internal teams to understand training needs and prioritize initiatives
Collaborate with training and development teams to drive consistency and share best practices across the organization
Establish and track metrics to assess training impact and ROI, continuously improving program effectiveness
Design tools and resources that support employee career pathing and goal achievement
Stay current with trends in learning and development, leveraging technology and new methodologies to enhance training
Director of Training and DevelopmentRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, organizational development, learning and development or a related field
10+ years in training and development, with at least 6 years in a leadership role
Expertise in adult learning principles, instructional design and training evaluation
Proficiency with learning management systems
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to create a high-performing culture focused on engagement and empowerment
Demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels and influence others
Strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel up to 25%
Master's degree preferred
Background in manufacturing, distribution or consumer packaged goods industries preferred
Experience leading within a matrix organization preferred
