Job Description:

Assistant Project Manager Job Description:
  • The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to the project team in the overall administrative, financial, and technical direction of a project. This position will work directly with the Project Manager to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with contract, design, budget, and schedule requirements.

Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain material tracking logs
  • Research, develop and write detailed RFI's
  • Perform detailed review and processing of project submittals
  • Coordinate with Design team for efficient responses to submittals and RFI's
  • Present in weekly project status meetings
  • Assist with project forecasting and month end financial reporting
  • Manage changes and ensure proper distribution of construction documents and/or project scope to ensure that the most current documents are being used
  • Coordinate with project team to ensure materials are available when needed on site
  • Review and verify constructability of plans and specifications
  • Contribute to the buy-out process by requesting and reviewing bids and aligning budgets as necessary to create subcontracts

Assistant Project Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Business preferred
  • 1-3+ years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager within Commercial and Multifamily Construction
  • Proficient with relevant construction technology; Procore experience a plus
